The Essential Routine : Science

The Scientific Reference Library

All 44 ingredients in The Essential Routine and their 119 peer reviewed research references.

Nothing in The Essential Routine is in the formula because it tested well in a focus group. Every ingredient earned its place by mechanism: a named job, at a dose we can point to, in a form the body can actually use. This is the library we built the system from, opened up.

Nothing works alone, so nothing is wasted.

Why This Library Exists

A Label Tells You What Is in the Bottle. It Does Not Tell You Why.

It does not tell you why that ingredient is there, why that form was chosen over a cheaper one, or what the research actually found.

The Essential Routine is a cofactored system. Each ingredient is chosen partly for what it does on its own and partly for what it lets another ingredient do: Riboflavin 5' Phosphate so the folate can be used, Vitamin K2 so the Vitamin D3 has somewhere to send the calcium, L-Theanine so the caffeine does not arrive alone. A system built that way only holds up if the evidence holds up. So we wrote all of it down, and we are showing you the whole thing.

How to Read an Entry

Four Parts, in the Same Order Every Time

1. Research Summary

What the study set out to test, who ran it, and what they found, in plain language.

2. Key Findings

The specific results that bear on The Essential Routine, with the numbers as the researchers reported them.

3. Supporting Excerpts

Quoted directly from the paper, so nothing rests on our paraphrase.

4. E4E Formula Connection

Why this study put this ingredient, at this dose, in this step.

Each entry opens with the full citation, the journal, the publication date and a public access link to PubMed or the publisher. If we cite it, you can go read it.

The Index

Three Formulas, Three Points in the Day

Here is every ingredient in each one, and the job it is there to do. The plus on any ingredient opens its own page, with every reference behind it in full.

Step 4. Repeat.

The fourth step is not a capsule. It is the one that compounds.

A Note on the Last Three

Delivery Ingredients Are Documented Too

Nu-MAG(R), Bamboo Extract and MCT Oil sit under Other Ingredients on the label. That placement reflects a labeling threshold, not a ranking. They replace magnesium stearate and synthetic flow agents, and they are documented here with the same rigor as everything else, because a formula that does not hold its ratios inside the capsule is not a formula.
